What if I need the original of a scanned document?

You can order scanned documents directly as originals via the PEAX platform. The “Order original” button is located to the right of the open document in the document view.

If the button is not displayed for a document, this may be for the following reasons:

- The document was automatically forwarded to your home address by the scanning center.

- The order period of 30 days after receipt of the original has already expired.

Certain items, such as important documents or packages, are automatically forwarded as standard without the need to place an order.

Note on debt collection:
Debt collection notices are always delivered personally to your home address and are not related to PEAX. Such documents cannot therefore be ordered digitally via the portal.

In the document history, you will see the following note for automatically forwarded items:

“The original document has been automatically forwarded to your address.”
Delivery is usually by A-Post within 1-2 working days after digital capture.

After the 30-day retention period has expired, physical documents are destroyed in accordance with regulations and can no longer be ordered as originals.
