ID Level Explained
The higher your ID level, the more you can discover and use in the PEAX portal. If you want to enjoy all the benefits such as mail forwarding and payment right away, activate ID level 2 right from the start. This will give you the best possible setup and allow you to use PEAX without any restrictions. You can increase your ID level in the “Profile” section. The activation code will be sent to your home address by mail.
ID Level 0 – Transition phase
As long as your activation code for ID Level 1 or ID Level 2 has not yet been entered, you are automatically at ID Level 0. In this phase, you can only upload documents. Other functions are not yet activated.
ID Level 1 – Basic identification (your residential address is verified by A-Post letter)
✔️ Upload documents and use the peaxbox email address as a delivery channel✔️ Pay invoices via prepayment
✔️ Open a business account for companies without a commercial register entry and for associations (it is recommended to upgrade this to ID Level 2 in order to use mail forwarding and payment)
✔️ Set up two-factor authentication (optional)
ID Level 2 – Extended identification (your residential address is verified by registered letter)
✔️ Activate mail forwarding and make full use of the digital mailbox (applies to Basic subscription and higher)✔️ Use PEAX Payment to its full extent, either by connecting your bank accounts or by prepayment
✔️ Set up two-factor authentication (mandatory for security and identification reasons)
✔️ Open a company account at any time (company listed in the commercial register, company not listed in the commercial register, or association)
